The Keinachtsbaum Song!

Mr. Jan makes music for children that adults also like to listen to and therefore pursues a very similar goal as we do with the Keinachtsbaum: to remove the separation between the adult world and the children’s world and to have a good time together.

A nocturnal story

Hey, I am Nico, the founder of Keinachtsbaum® and I love trees. Even as a child, I would sit for hours in the treetops to enjoy the gentle swaying or…

Planting trees for the climate

Due to climate change, the site conditions of our native trees and forests are changing so quickly that they are unfortunately unable to adapt accordingly and are suffering from the heat of recent years and the resulting lack of water in the soil. Our native softwoods in particular, but also our hardwoods, are increasingly affected. That’s why we plant one tree per Christmas tree sold here locally and not in tropical climes.

Organic pruning green versus conventional pruning green:

We are into organic. Whenever possible, we buy organically produced food and products. We are therefore not yet 100% happy that we are not yet able to offer purely organically produced cut greenery. But why is that? We would like to give you a few insights and background information on the cultivation of cut greenery so that you can form your own opinion.

What you didn’t know about the Christmas tree: 7 interesting facts

Everyone thinks they know it – the Christmas tree. Sure: you know what types of Christmas tree there are (fir, spruce, pine), and you’ve read on the internet that the Nordmann fir is by far the most popular Christmas tree “species” in Germany. They also know roughly what to look out for when putting up a tree in the living room and how to dispose of the tree properly after the holidays. But there is much more worth knowing! We have compiled some of the most interesting Christmas tree facts – seven in total – here.

Festive choice: Which tree is best for Christmas?

It is well known among Christmas tree fans that not all conifers are equally suitable as Christmas trees. Red spruce trees, for example, start needling on the very first day in the living room, and black pines are so resinous that presents placed under them remain stuck there until at least New Year. (However, red spruce and black pine also have special advantages). But which type of Christmas tree is best – and what should you look out for when choosing one?

Disposing of the Christmas tree: how to become “tree-free”

Of the well over 20 million fir trees that are set up in German living rooms every year as Christmas trees, only around 10% can be replanted (because they were sold with roots). The rest must be disposed of. Where to put all these trees? Fortunately, there are many sensible ways to get rid of a Christmas tree – even with additional benefits for people or animals. So simply leaving the tree with the municipal waste disposal company is by no means the only option. Do you want to dispose of your Christmas tree? We’ll show you what options you have.

A greener Christmas: How useful is an organic Christmas tree?

“Organic Christmas tree in a pot”, “Organic Christmas tree from the region” or “Cut your own organic Christmas tree” – these are often the advertising claims made by tree suppliers. But what exactly makes an organic Christmas tree an organic Christmas tree?
