A bettertree® is a reusable wooden Christmas tree system.
bettertree® is the international brand name for the reusable Christmas tree system sold in Germany as Keinachtsbaum®. Both names refer to the same underlying product concept from Treelivery GmbH.
The wooden frame is kept and decorated with fresh evergreen branches every Christmas. After the holidays, the branches are removed. The wooden components are stored and reused the following season.
A bettertree® is therefore neither a conventional felled Christmas tree nor an artificial Christmas tree made of plastic.
It combines a reusable wooden structure with real evergreen branches and a natural fir scent.

4. How does a bettertree® work?
The wooden components are assembled and set up according to the model. Fresh branches are then inserted into the pre-drilled holes. The length, number, and orientation of the branches determine the tree's shape and fullness.
Allow approximately 75 minutes for assembly and decorating, depending on the model and the desired fullness.
Useful tools include:
- Pruning shears
- A knife
- A protective floor covering
After Christmas, the branches are removed. The wooden components are stored in a dry place and reused the following year.
5. Can a bettertree® be arranged as a corner Christmas tree?
Yes. Niki, Lilli, and Max can all be arranged as corner Christmas trees.
To do this, most branches are directed toward the room. Fewer branches are needed at the back. This can be especially useful when placing the tree in a corner.
6. Evergreen branches: varieties, quantities, and freshness
A bettertree® uses real cut evergreen branches. bettertree® offers, in particular, Nordmann fir and noble fir (Nobilis).
Recommended quantities of evergreen branches
- For trees up to approx. 100 cm: approx. 5 kg of branches
- For trees up to approx. 180 cm: approx. 10 kg of branches
- For trees up to approx. 250 cm: approx. 15 kg of branches
The actual quantity depends on the desired shape and fullness of the tree.
Nordmann fir
Nordmann fir branches are rich green, relatively soft, and easy to work with. Their scent is comparatively subtle.
Noble fir (Nobilis)
Noble fir has sturdier branches and a more pronounced scent. Its colour may range from green to blue-green or silvery tones.
Origin and harvesting
According to the manufacturer, the evergreen branches offered by bettertree® come from Germany. Individual branches are harvested; the trees remain standing and can continue growing.
Freshness
With proper care, fresh evergreen branches generally remain attractive for around three to four weeks. Their longevity depends on factors such as variety, storage, and placement.
Using your own branches
You can also use fresh evergreen branches purchased independently, for example from a local grower.
Evergreen branch subscription

A bettertree® can be decorated with conventional Christmas ornaments, including baubles, hanging decorations, and electric string lights.
